I would like information about the circus coming in Feb. but can’t find it on your web site.
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to express my disappointment over our visit to your park last Saturday December 13th. I don’t normally write and complain but every day since then I have gone over and over the visit in my head.
We took two little boys (4 & 7) who’s family can not afford a lot for Christmas. We thought what a great opportunity it would be to allow them to experience the magic of Christmas. I didn’t mind paying the $20 per adult but to charge $17 for a child (especially a four year old) is hard to swallow. No to mention that you add on extra for the train, the ducks and the sky ride.
We were there for approximately four hours and during that time we only participated in less than thirty minutes of actual activity. The rest of the time was spent waiting in lines.
Mistle Tales were so packed that we couldn’t get anywhere near the seating area.
We waited over 40 minutes to get into Polar Express, which was by far the best experience in the park but we were disappointed when the staff only filled half the auditorium. If that was the case for every show then we could have been in in and out in half the time.
In line for over 30 minutes for the Snow angel.. we waited and waited for her to arrive at the 4:30 appearance and finally the Coca Cola Bear arrived but we never got to see the snow angel and you charged for cookies.
To make sure that we got to see Santa Claus we were advised (by employees) to get in line at 5:00pm. Two little boys trying to wait in line for any period of time is hard but to find out that as we waited in line we missed the Christmas Parade because it doesn’t come down the road into the Snow Angel Castle.
Santa Claus didn’t arrive at 6:15. It was 6:35 before he got there and then it was a rushed affair as the staff was hurrying to get the long line through.. we were in and out in under three minutes and that included us getting a $16.00 photo of Santa for them to take home to their Mom.
We passed plenty of stores to buy things and even more to places to eat (lunch cost us over $40) but to get a simple hot chocolate (another $16.00) took an other 20 minute line. And that was enough for the boys..we left the park with them crying and my husband and I very upset with the whole Stone Mountain Christmas experience.
If anyone was to ask if we would take children to Stone Mountain for Christmas I would have to say emphatically “NO”. What could have been a lifelong Christmas memory was reduced to just another day of waiting in line at an amusement park.

I was told that the contents of the museum with the jukeboxes, cars, bikes, and memoribilia was going to be auctioned off. Please let me know if this is true and when the auction will be. Thanks Kurt.
